Britain is sliding into the oldest trap in the book - and the government is laying the bait. Across towns and cities, ordinary people protesting the collapse of their communities are being met not just by police lines but by choreographed mobs of left-wing activists, bussed in under banners like Stand Up to Racism. This isn't spontaneous counter-protest. It's state-sanctioned provocation.

The pattern is clear. Locals rally outside migrant hotels to demand their closure. Counter-demonstrators, backed by NGOs and shielded by police, descend to brand them "racist." The two sides clash. Cameras roll. The headlines write themselves: far-right violence, public order crisis, threat to democracy. Suddenly, the story isn't the government's betrayal over immigration - it's the need for more powers, more crackdowns, more control.

This is how you turn legitimate dissent into criminality. By baiting it, inflaming it, and then using it as the pretext for repression. The government doesn't fear the leftist mobs because those mobs serve their purpose. They fear the ordinary British majority that is waking up to the reality of demographic change, cultural erosion, and the slow replacement of their birthright. That majority must be discredited and contained - and street clashes give the state exactly the excuse it needs.

Make no mistake: none of this is accidental. A government that wanted peace would listen to the people, end the hotel racket, and restore order by defending the border. Instead, it manufactures conflict at home while waving more arrivals through from abroad. The goal isn't resolution. It's escalation - so they can claim extraordinary powers while painting patriots as extremists.

The riots aren't the breakdown of the system; they are the system.

"Counter-demonstrators, backed by NGOs and shielded by police, descend to brand them "racist.""

I was looking for the above earlier when I posted my long prose. This is also linked to the question of ID cards, control and manipulation.

Your personal politics may decry the above, which at the moment is your ‘right’, next year, five years, ten years? Will it still be your right to question the status quo?

Think it cannot happen here in a democracy? Dream on. Give an inch and they’ll take? Yeah bloody EVERYTHING. I was once told ‘never give a sucker an even break’ same applies to the government, they’re not on YOUR side, never have been, never will be. We have all been fucked over by labour and the conservatives. So many times on so many levels and at every election we fall for it again.

BTW, that also applies to those of us on the right, apparently I’m far right, a fascist, really? You, yes you, if you’re not far right in a world controlled by a leftist government, then you must be hard left/communist in a conservative controlled government.

Easy to label people who do not run with your thoughts. Easy by the government machine to smear anyone who is seen as a dissident, just for speaking their mind.

1984 tic toc, tic toc.

Absolutely spot on. At the recent demo at The Thistle Hotel I was engaged in a somewhat surprisingly peaceful polite discussion with 2 ladies holding Refugees Welcome Here. One of them let it slip they were not even from Swindon but from Bath.

I dont think the British public have any issues with refugees and would have been intrigued to know their their views on illegal immigrants which the protest up and down the country are about.

Let’s NOT get political at all as this is a football fans’ site. All this will do is create division among us fans. Let’s face it how many of us are actually affected directly by immigration, hotels used by refugees etc etc yet get stiredup by it all  I just hate the hate. Chill. Stick to discussing those reds who hopefully will be smashing League 2

The thread is literally called ‘Let’s Get Political!’. Just don’t read it if you don’t like it.

I’ll just say that I have no intention of getting involved as politics is not my forte, but it’s making for fascinating reading.

How many of us are affected by billonaires avoiding tax?  All of us.  How many of the media outlets directing our anger are owned by billionaires who dont pay tax or pay a massive percentage less than we do?  All of them.

Direct you anger to the right place.

Tax the fucks.

Need to make a distinction between immigration - with which I don’t  have a problem - and illegal immigration.

I dont think the British public have any issues with refugees and would have been intrigued to know their their views on illegal immigrants which the protest up and down the country are about.

If the protests aren't about refugees, but about illegal immigration then it seems odd that they're holding them outside places housing those seeking asylum and not outside say TNS knitwear in Greater Manchester, a sweatshop supplying Primark, that's been prosecuted for employing illegals.

If what you're implying is that those arriving here by, for example, small boats, cannot be genuine refugees then you're wrong for any number of reasons.
1. International law - you can claim asylum no matter how you arrive in a country. Present yourself to the authorities and claim asylum and you're not an illegal immigrant. Illegal immigrants don't arrive irregularly in broad daylight in open view and then immediately find an authority figure to surrender to. In this country they usually just overstay their visa and  disappear into the grey economy.
2. Morally - set up a system by which most people fleeing war, disaster or persecution cannot claim asylum in the UK unless they're in the UK, but give them no legal routes to get here, don't clutch your pearls in shock when they get here another way.
3. Maths - a pretty small percentage of those seeking asylum in the UK in the last few years even arrived "illegally" most arrived in a plane of ferry with valid visa or equivalent. So most people in the hotels these protesters are outside aren't "illegal" even by the media's inaccurate definition.

A huge amount of this whole flag stuff would be shrugged off as virtue signalling if it were those of a centre/left persuasion who were doing it, similarly we have this dragging on up here... https://www.nwemail.co.uk/news/25446516.south-lakes-islamic-centre-crowds-line-road-protest/
