The likely scenario is that we agree a deal for them to sponsor the CG in the long term.
The key question is why are they keen and what would they get out of it? As with any redevelopment idea I'll believe it when I see it.

Anyone who's ever spent any time 'backstage' at the CG can tell it has issues that need sorting.
It's just getting very long in the tooth and it's about time something was done.

It's the first thing I thought too. Perhaps some naming rights going there way to?
I liked Power's words about the fact the CG is falling apart. It's not about a shiny, aesthetically pleasing stadium oh with some extra businesses thrown in. It's now about redeveloping as a matter of necessity.
I think naming rights is a given. One does have to wonder what they will get long term out of it but if they do indeed develop the CG then I am all for it. Although we have been told this since time immemorial from every previous board we have had. |

But Powers track record to date and the fact he is having meetings with preliminary deals in place makes me think this could be the day... |

I reckon it is Westfield and they are going to knock down the CG and build a whopping shopping centre in it's place forcing us to groundshare with supermarine as Mr Power rides off into the sunset with a pocket full of cash.
