Perfection is not attainable

Wait what, it's only one post by a fan vaguely linking him currently isn't it?

That said, if the link became formal I wouldn't be surprised.
He was linked near the end of last season too in the press when Alexander failed to get them into the play offs.

Wellens has used Salfords training facilities in the past when we have been in the NW already and used to play for them and has a good relationship with the owners.

Yes it may be one link but just saying I wouldnt be shocked to see this happen.

He’d be a hypocrite if he does. It would be the managerial equivalent of Woolery’s move.

5th favourite on skybet at the moment, 8/1.

As little as that means anything, might put a pound on and watch the odds change.

Whose favourite just out of interest?

We shall see, it could equally be viewed as a cash saving exercise getting rid of a paid manager and replacing with the owner, I imagine if it happened here that's what they would be saying on Facebook!

Scholes, Keane, Cook, Cowley in that order from what I can see.

Why pay compo when there are good managers out of work.

If they can throw enough money at the Cowleys or Paul Cook, either would be a great appointment.

If they want him though they will not care about who is cheaper

You don't need to be in the know to conclude that Wellens will be off in the near future.

12/1 now

You're both right. He's as short as 5/1 with Paddy Power and Betfair and as long as 14/1 on BetVictor.

For context, Paul Cook is best-priced a shade above evens.

I cant see it being anything beyond twitchy Town fans and 2+2ers.

If he did go then it's further proof that the North West have really hit Town in 2020.

Haha. I think that's why the odds are going this way.
