I never panic. Football is my escapism, it's just amazing when Swindon do well Smiley

We'll be fine, first game for me but I saw enough to show we'll be up there, we just need that first win. Was speaking to several Carlisle fans after the game, they said we were the best side they have  played and are convinced we'll be top 6. The defence looks solid, think we just need to get our best midfield worked out then we'll fly.

Last season, we were dropping points all the way until christmas when Charlie arrived and started banging them in.

We'll start clicking much, much sooner this season.

We are bottom of the league, say we are bottom of the league!

Also the only team in League 1 without a win unless I'm mistaken?  Sad

The last time we were at the foot of this league after 5 games, 30 years ago (80/81) we didn't go down, stayed up on the last game of the season.

However the only other time in the intervening years was 93/94 and we did go down.

You've just reminded me of that season under King where we had a dreadful start and lost 2-0 at Cheltenham that match when Gurney went off on one. I think we'd lost 6 in a row by that point. We went on to finish 10th in the end. Another season which proves that even in September your league position doesn't guarantee anything. I'm not sure if we were ever bottom that season though but we couldn't have been far off it after those 6 losses.

whilst i'm sure we wont be in a relegation scrap,i'm also sure we wont be anywhere near the promotion places either.
what do you lot think we are going to do this season?
is anything other than a promotion push good enough?

A lot could depend on say a good cup run maybe.
Got to say it has been a bit of a shock for me.....really expected us to fly out of the traps yet cannot see us putting a run of wins together which will be needed for a promotion push,we have some quality players but my opinion is untill we get someone to take the weight of burden away from Austin we will struggle.
I like both Pericard and Dossevi but it is obvious they wont score enough goals when Austin dont fire.
And what will happen if Austin gets injured i dread to think.

I don't have a clue. There's 41 games left. I thought we'd be mid table in October last year so it's pointless saying just yet.
