Didn't realise that the Wimpy burger chain was still going in the UK.
Essex is a stronghold apparently, so about to partake for nostalgia's sake. Not sure that they have the best reputation.  Roll Eyes

There was a Wimpy near to Clapham Junction station that closed down maybe a couple of years ago now. I presumed they had ceased to exist some time ago. I think their burger sauce is pretty good from memory.

https://locations.wimpy.uk.com/england.html

According to this, there are 16 in Essex, followed by 9 in Kent and 5 in London. Only 63 in total in England.

I remember the wimpy in Swindon. Can't remember the location,  was it near Our Price Records?

Can't remember. Must be going back to the late 80's at least. Probably before the first of the Golden Arches appeared in Swindon.

I miss the burger van pitch in the Cheltenham Street car park near the station.
Always a good stopping off point on the way home from a session in Old Town. Yes Boss!!
"You must support Galatasaray?".
"No, AC Milan & Liverpool!"
Happy days, and a very good burger as well.

Good-oh. About time he did some jail time. Remember it wasn't just the hacking, he finally got the sack for publishing fake photos purporting to show British troops torturing detainees in Iraq, putting both British and Iraqi lives at risk for the sake of a cheap headline:

How the fuck this slime has the balls to take the moral high ground on anything, which he does on a regular basis, is beyond belief
