My Dad had a bit of a scare that there could be a recurrence of his cancer, today he's had the all clear.
I've been to the docs myself after a spell of ill health and the doctors said things are looking positive.
I found a notebook I lost a week ago that I thought I'd never see again.
T'weather's lovely.
Bubble drinks from Kaspas are lovely.
England are good again.
I'm having my dinner cooked for me.

All fairly trivial (bar the first one) but have made me smile today. Smiley
I feel I post way more in the other thread, too much, so this is for balance. Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine.

I have a habit of stealing forks from work. My missus cleared out out cutlery drawer the other day and i have to somehow sneak 22 forks back into the staff canteen....

Its only fucking raining! That's making me way happier than it should do! After weeks of sun that lovely cool air and fresh smell that only a bit of rain can bring!

Really? we have had probably 4 days that it has rained in the last 2 weeks in Somerset.

Thick fog today but that usually means it will burn off and be a nice day later.

Bit fed up with the heat now, it was 33 degrees on Sunday and I am no sun worshipper I like a bit of snow and rain.

We had about 4 weeks of solid sun in May/June, then a week of occasional drizzle (actually very little) and then had about 5 weeks of solid sun since (off the top of my head), its just been bloody hot, the garden is dying on its arse and its just that residual heat makes sleeping hard at night - its incredible the difference from going from a Victorian mid terrace which was lovely and cool in the summer to  a modern bungalow which has got good insulation and stays like a bloody sauna.

No doubt when its pissing it down in the winter I will look back fondly, but hopefully at least the lawn will stop looking like the African savannah now!

This is typically English. (not directed at you horlock) but when it rains, we moan, and then when we finally get decent weather...we moan too.

Personally, i cannot stand the heat. I'd rather live in Antarctica.
