From the Adver's GCSE coverage:
"Alena Bykova got the result she neded at GCSE English"
which is presumably more than the bloke paid to be a journalist reporting on her success would do.

Even a spell checker would pick that up, that's just laziness. As a writer myself, I know how easy it can be to miss something, but there's no excuse for that.

tbf, they're live blogging it, so doubt it's going through a spell checker, just slinging it on a live page, typos can creep in. Quite why you need to live blog GCSE results is another matter.

When you’ve been clogged up, a good clear out is immensely satisfying.

Just overheard my ten-year-old, who usually refuses to speak English, chanting: "I heard that Robert Max went to Rome to see the Pope...". Close enough. #prouddad

Finally removing the spider that's been somewhere on my head all morning. Just abseiled in front of my eye.

I got in the car this morning and felt a cobweb brush my head. Later at work I had a strand of web brush my face again, then early afternoon a tiny spider abseiled about an inch in front of my eye. I attract cobwebs, my head is like a stick in a candy floss machine when I walk outside
