He's a brilliant writer. Check out his piece about blagging his way on to eggheads too.

He's a good friend of mine, I actually wrote one of the reviews for the restaurant, I was also best man for one of the guys on the eggheads team.

The bakery I just went to in Twerton. Coffee, pasty and a lardy cake for £4.

Took the family to see Pete Pan last night at the wyvern. Very good. Better than I thought it was going to be.

Two shout outs for me, and got purposely soaked by Ian Beale

Walking in the snow for stretching the calf muscles.

Not so much fun when driving this morning.
Challenging conditions for some of the younger wide bore exhaust hot hatch drivers.

Hope nobody has an accident that could have been avoided, had their local council not decided to stop gritting the majority of the roads in the area.
Drove from north Swindon to the centre and even the main dual carriageways hadn't been treated.

you can grit as much as you like, if it hammered down like that all you'll get is grit under snow.

would need constant traffic to work the grit in and prevent snow settle... not happening at 4am.

quite how major roads (m4!) haven't been ploughed is another matter!

drive carefully.

It might not seem a big deal to some, but i'm well chuffed. :-)

It's impressive how much this little local charity achieves (and frightening how much it is needed)

It's always handy to know how to switch your mums over from magnesium to zinc

Yes. In the same way as this little Swindon charity does a lot of good and also increasingly needed.  Jacob Rees-Mogg, potentially next Tory leader reckons such increasing demand and also for things like foodbanks is good as it gives people a chance to show their kindness.

I have become a bit of a sceptic about social media recently (perhaps part of growing up) but this is an example of how it can be used to provide some good cheer, and a nice story at this time of year
