I’ve got to have a colonoscopy. Anyone had one?
Yeah, had one last year. Was diagnosed with collitis. So I get them yearly now. Yay. They’re not too bad to be honest, the worst part for me was the taste of the gallons of laxative you have to take prior.

They gave me some laxative to take 24 hours before which literally clears you out🤣 The procedure wasn't too bad, not painful just weird as they Pump you full of air. Afterwards they leave you in a room on your own so that you can disperse all of the air at your own pace🤣 Edit: Not sure if there's a Mens health thread if not maybe a good idea to have one.

I've had plenty of Endsocopies, A Colonoscopy and a Catheter in (not at the same time i may add). The Catheter whilst unpleasant wasn't anywhere near as painful as i thought it would be. And yes, the Colonoscopy you're sedated for, i really don't remember much at all apart from hearing them say a couple of times if i was ok, it felt like 5 minutes but was about 45. The drink is disgusting, much the worst part of it. It's got a slimy texture so you can't drink it quickly.

The first few endoscopies i had i just had the throat spray anesthetic but didn't watch, however for the last few i get sedation for that as well, much prefer not to be really aware of what they're doing.

Colonoscopy - Yeah, the drink really is disgusting! I also didn't like the feeling when it 'goes round bends' inside your intestine. I was a little nervous (understandably) about the 'entry' but the dull internal prodding' was much, much worse. I found it quite horrible as it made me very queasy.

Not sure if that’s worse than feeling the instrument they use to put a stent into your heart artery. I felt them breveting around when the did it, oh gives me the heebie jeebies thinking about it.

Clem calls the deceased’s family asking them to waive any refund.
