Bought a new iPad. Sent my old iPad to Music Magpie to get a bit of cash for it. They've decided my device is fake and so won't pay me, nor return the device to me. They've literally stolen it.

It's US spec, bought in the US, which might have caused the confusion, but to not return the device is fucking annoying.

Fucking con artists they are, i sent an iphone 7 a few years back and they didnt want to give me full price because a tiny screw wasnt in the bottom by the charger point. Must have been from manufacture as the phone had never been taken apart, or the cunts removed the screw themselves and tried to pull a fast one.

I’ll go with the second one

I keep on making a particular typo when letting people know when something is due.

Which means I keep on telling people to die on a particular day.

Don't know about annoying, fucking theft is what I'd call it.
No wonder they can sell items so cheap if they pay nothing for them.

That's exactly what I called it when I spoke with them. They have now backed down. A good friend of mine is a high-profile consumer journalist so a quick message to the press office and bingo.

Still, fuck them.

Never really got into them. Always found them a little bland. Just listened to it and quite like it. Although, I suspect, like most of their stuff, I'll forget it quite quickly.

Interesting view. I can imagine not like the Manics for being a bit pretentious, but bland is a surprising one. Lyrically at least, they're a band with serious notions (perhaps less so musically).

I can't imagine finding The Holy Bible bland, for example. Relentlessly depressing and unpleasant, sure.

Takes all sorts, doesn't it!

These days I tend to listen to stuff in the background and pick up on catchy tunes rather than listening to the lyrics and trying to look for their meaning. That's what I meant by bland - It can be on and then I won't remember it minutes later e.g. I've totally forgotten how the earworm you mentioned goes.

The lack of a 'hold' function when ringing the drs surgery. I've rung 45 times before just to get through. Currently on 10.
