It's a difficult subject, mainly because the word has such negative connotations and it can be quite sobering when you hear it. One of my closest friends and my brother both have it, I did start treating both of them differently... Not really through a conscious choice, it just happened. I treat my brother as I always did now really, but that's because he acts normal and he's had it for years. My friend, it has changed him quite a lot and to be honest, he isn't the same person anymore which I don't blame him for but now I never know what to say to him.

I know a lot of cancer sufferers and survivors (long term and short term) and they all say the same thing as me, we haven't changed so neither should the way we are treated.

But I do also know that cancer in many ways affects those around you in a very very different way to having it yourself as I saw several close family lose their fight and that hurt me much more than being diagnosed myself had an impact....wierd.

Not "weird" at all IMO.  I think it's quite okay to feel more about what's happening to loved ones than about yourself.

Anyway, good luck with your personal battle. My money's on you.

Tesco direct and ArrowXL.

Ordered a sofa bed. Delivered without legs. Rang up to order and they said they would have to send a brand new sofa. Delivered, but arrow Xl wouldn't take the 'new' one away. I only wanted the legs!!

Supposed to come and collect today, but no record of 'order' placed by Tesco. Tesco told me it would be today.

So to have a sofa bed delivered in full I have had to have three days off work. I still have two beds...

eBay. I used to use eBay for almost everything, now it's such an absolute ball ache as there's so many cunty sellers lying through their teeth and eBay don't give a flying fuck. Always ends up leaving you out of pocket because someone's lied.

I remember years ago you would buy branded ram and 50% of the time you'd be sent unbranded ram. They'd send a note saying they'd run out and you can return it if it's unsuitable.

Only the TEF could move seamlessly in less than 2 pages from a discussion regarding Stefan Kuntz, to Cancer and then to sofa beds and ebay within one thread.

I salute you all!

Yes, but come on Barry, it is very easy to do it yourself.

I had an ECG this afternoon and the nurse was struggling to get the patches to stick to my chest due to it being to hairy, she went to speak to another nurse for advise and came back with a razor. I how have 6 bald patches on my very itchy chest.

I bought something from a chinese seller with good feedback and years of history. I guess he went out of business soon after as I never got my item. Raised a dispute and an automatic refund was received from ebay China within minutes (though I bought via ebay uk). I guess the ebay China is better!

I have to have these regularly. They're a pain in the arse, not cos I have a hairy chest but because I swear no matter how rigorously you peel off the stickers afterwards you still find one later in your shirt or something.

True, but the nurse though it acceptable to dry shave me.
