Some of the lights on thamesdown drive are now speed sensored. So if you are travelling over 40 they will turn to red.

I've just always assumed that the lights on that road are timed rather than run by sensors like most traffic lights.

Ah, didn't know such a thing existed. That does it explain it then, because late at night, when I notice it and jump them, I am invariably going to be doing around 45mph.

I think you're right, due to the number of high volume roads trying to get onto it .

It was a new addition - to be honest they said they'd put sensors in a couple of places, but I hadn't seen any work to do it. Either way the Thamesdown Drive red wave happens no matter what speed you are going.

The spelling of the word 'egg'. The second 'g' seems completely unnecessary to me in a word of that length.

Good point, it is an extra 33%. Wiki tells me the longest word in the dictionary is 45 letters long - Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis - an extra 33% on that would be 60 letters long. Wiki also tells me there is a word 189,819 letters long, a protein. The extra 33% on that would be another 63273 letters - madness.

Indeed, was thinking it was 33% of the word... I am hanging my head in shame.

NBC benching/dropping community. It's one of the most original and funny sitcoms ever, probably only beaten by arrested development. Like Arrested development, people are too stupid to watch it though

You should be flattered. I'd love to be in a position where my employer gave a shit about me.
Yeah its good from that point of view. Reality is they've closed another office and moving all the work into swindon but the management have all decided not to move, so they've realised it is too late. Only offered me 2k more for the role which is really stingy.
