Been mentioned numerous times before, but fog lights. You don't need front or rear ones on unless visability is less than 100 yds!!

Full beams annoy me too. Especially when oncoming people dont turn them off.

I do think that if it is foggy and you are struggling to see the car in front's lights it is better to be safe than sorry - however I was on the M27 last week, it was patchy fog, visibility was poor yet some people didn't even have normal lights on - which is even worse.

All the above on this page, they are all valid annoyances.

Add to that inconsiderate drivers and we have a full house.

People who don't indicate correctly on roundabouts.

People who think just because the Mannington roundabout traffic lights are off, it means they can go onto it as soon as the car in front of them does even if I'm on the roundabout and about to take my exit. A roundabout without traffic lights turned on is just a normal roundabout fools.

On a related note, are people bothered by drivers having their headlights on during the day? Obviously not full beam.

I've known a few people go on massive rants about being blinded by people with dipped headlights...

This is something that annoys me. You don't indicate left because you're moving from the inside of the roundabout to the outside in preparation for exiting. You indicate because you have now gone past the last exit before the one your require. People who indicate an exit early, or more sometimes, make me furious!

Or people who continue to indicate right before exiting because they are too lazy to cancel and indicate left.

Or worse, people who don't indicate and THEN indicate right just before their exit. WTF are they thinking.? !

Interestingly, a lot of people from countries that do insist on the use of dipped headlights during daytime find our practice of not using them odd, and even dangerous.  When I was in Sweden recently, I found it irritating.  I think the thinking there is that at northern latitudes, daylight hours in winter are very short and night/dusk falls very gradually pretty much all year round.

Can't say it bothers me, unless they have the front fogs on too and its not foggy.

Day light running lights are compulsory on new cars built after a certain date are they not?

What I don't understand, is on my sister's new VW, if the lights are set to any position, other than side lights (off, dipped and auto) it's the same as dipped. The puzzlement though is that if they're in the sidelights position, the only lights on are the sidelights. It leaves me wondering what's the point of the sidelights, because the car ensures even when the lights are switched to off, they're all on? (I'm not sure I've made sense there.)
