As a kid the CG extension was my playground. When the gang mower had been over, there was loads of fresh cut grass, so we'd make it into an all mighty pile and then bury people in it. After a while you'd notice the temperature rise as it started turning into silage....definitely better fresh. I've never had hay fever... I was doing exactly this as a young boy i discovered i suffered from hayfever. Within seconds of jumping into a mound of grass both eyes just went red and puffed up like i'd been stung by a wasp a million times in the eyes

At least you got to find out early in life....bit like me and acrophobia (wrongly called vertigo) I was about 12/13, got the train to Bristol, walked out onto the Suspension Bridge, and swooned... had to crawl back

I class hay fever like peanut allergies, there were no such things when I was a kid, somebody somewhere did something that fucked up a couple of generations, But I reckon the best cure is to go mow the grass twice a week. My daughter had bad Asthma and severe nut allergies. So I got a cat, and starting her on vegetable kormas. 3 years on, no allergies, don't quote/sue me but I bet the lawnmower works!
I'm in my 50's and suffered from hay fever as a kid, as well as nut allergies (Not peanuts though). How old are you Sutton? (Going by your boat, I'd say early 60's?).

The fact I'll have to suffer people seemingly ignoring the football during an important tournament and instead boring me to death with details about the genius bets they've put on

I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere in the pantheon of this thread but double negatives, for example 'he hasn't done nothing' not only is it poor English, it's annoying.

Despite being on the FBI's radar, Manteen, who worked as a security guard, was not on an official terrorism watch list and was able to legally hold a state firearms licence, according to Florida records.
Way to go, Murica!
