RW does not seem worried at all - loved the line that there's going to be some massive bargains, and that we want players have played in the Champ or won League 1 rather than just knocked about the third tier for 300 games.

Woolery and Rose seem the two most unlikely to re-sign and LMc already gone - and they're probably the three weakest players on the list (although very competent). No mention of Iandolo?

I think we'll see some proper signings over the next few weeks - players that would normally be significantly beyond us. We'll see.

Also clearly thinks Keshi is a bit of a twat.

Great to have these regular check ins with RW to ease any concerns fans may have.

Great subtle dig at Keshi and agreeing with most of us saying that Yates and Grant looked embarrassed by it.

Woolery is a strange one. I can see it playing out that we won’t know he has rejected us until he has been confirmed signing for another team.

So just done a bit of googling rather than working. RW mentioned a keeper I think coming in before the manager got sacked. Looking at the recent sackings my guess it would be Daniel Bachmann from Watford, Connal Trueman from Birmingham (Linked with a loan to Wimbledon) or the one I think we would most likely go for, Max O'Leary from Bristol City.

Looking through his history, O'Leary just completed a season with Shrewsbury, originally from Bath and has a year left on his contract. Could be a loan or take over the last year which RW mentioned as well.

And that’s why a few of us reckon Blackpool have got their recruitment wrong - signing L2 playersin the hope they can perform in L1.

Wellens is replicating the successful policy of last season by signing players from higher up the pyramid who have more chance of making an impact in L1.

With the money Blackpool are chucking about, it looks like they may well have fucked up big time.

Think the keeper could have been Ben Hamer from Huddersfield. Out of contract this summer and has good higher league experience.

There’s already a poll on the Blackpool forum about whether to sign him or not.

This isn’t going to end well for them.

Possibly, I had a look and I wasn't sure. Just completed a season at Derby, I think a few Champ clubs are probably sniffing around. Would love to be wrong though. Though he is originally from Taunton which could possibly help us haha.

Think Ben Hamer ex Huddersfield a good shout. Out of contract now and good experience!

Linked with a return to Derby though.

Not sure a manager getting sacked would stop a deal for someone out-of-contract.

Max O'Leary is a great shout though - did very well last year by all accounts.

The GK mentioned was not the player mentioned with one year left that we're looking to take over. My read was that's two different players.

I reckon we'll sign one free GK (I've seen Aaron Chapman mentioned someowhere) and then one on loan.

Interesting, it would seem that this years ‘Salford’ could well be Blackpool. In as much as they’re being linked with or appear to be linked with anyone who is half decent and throwing money around like there is a bottomless pit (at our level) to achieve promotion with an untried EFL manager.

Each team manager will follow their own path based on available money, who is available for that money and the type of player suited to that managers style of football. Wellens will be I am confident pretty sure of each managers style of play and players who become available that suit that style. As I said, he probably knew both Yates and Doyle were not coming back and has no doubt irons in the fire to replace them.

Just another one throwing it out there. A mate of mine mentioned Anthony Stokes, can't remember why exactly but he was convinced we were interested.

Again its a mate of a mate situation but would be a good should. Good track record, not too old and possible Irish connection again haha. Out of contract as well.

My step daughter used to go out with his cousin, he comes from Chard and at the time he got us freebies to watch him while he was on loan at Exeter against us when Paul Hart was in charge in the relegation season many moons ago.

I wouldn't have thought that a player out of contract would have his transfer stopped by an out going manager though? Unless hes holding out for a new contract under the new boss when appointed.

Striker wise, I’m convinced we’ll sign Nicky Maynard plus a young striker from the league above - Callum . . .
