I always thought Matt Palmer was an odd signing
He was, has a good repuatation but his career has stalled since leaving Burton. Can spray the ball around a bit and yes hes not a box to box midfielder that Pett is but I am not sure where we could fit him in the team. Probably more of a backup for Doughty than a 1st team regular. |

Lyden, Grant, Doughty, Palmer, Pett, Chapman.
We always play with 3 central midfielders - 6 into 3 is good by me. I think we'll see Doughty play higher again this year with a spoiler (Grant) and a runner (Lyden/Pett).
