id be really disappointed if woollery left now. hes developed so much, DJ isn't ours. There is next season to think about as well and our bench is incredibly weak for attacking options even if you dont want him starting.

It would, however, look at it from Wollery’s view point. A new club and a new two year deal, maybe two and a half. He and his agent maybe thinking, we’re going to struggle with this in L1 with the quality of players that Wellens is bringing in. Maybe Wellens has indicated that it is time to move on if you can find a club we’ll let you go, no fee.
Oh yeah I understand all of that and know he'll also be thinking he needs to look after himself but having been quite a vocal critic of his during his time here I guess I'll just feel a bit bad that his best spell, which looks likely to end with success come May, could be cut short. I get all that but football is a cruel mistress. Look at it this way. If we’re in L1 next season and knowing what we do about Woolery, do you think Wellens would buy him? After all he has played under three managers now and only now have the team got anything out of him that makes him standout against his previous form under the other two. Is what we are getting all there is to have or could we get more?

Good question raised, LL.
Whilst Kaine is a frightening sub at L2 level and would still be good enough in such a role in L1, if we were to get a good offer (or exchange opportunity!) right now, then my head would say carpe diem.
Having said that, I have really enjoyed Woolley's contributions in his time here and think he remains an awesome squad member for the rest of the season

We could get more. Importantly we could get more out of him and hes our player. Not someone we have to spend more money on to replace.

Yeah it's brutal and no doubt Wellens and Jewell will be casting an eye over who could improve us next season soon, if they haven't started already! Sent from my CLT-L09

Nev would be turning in his grave at some of the random mispelling of poor Kaiyne River Woolery's name over the last few pages. I'm not preaching by the way, i'm equally as guilty (I had to use a search engine for the correct spelling! )

Could it possibly be Twine going out on loan? He came on as sub on Saturday, but with Hope, Woolery, the planned 2 incoming forward players plus Anderson returning to fitness means he is unlikely to get much game time here this season, and I recall RW referred in his post match interview to the need for players to be playing games.

Not seen him play this season so all this is rather based upon what has been said on here. Fact seems to be that we paid £350k for him (despite Power never paying cash for players) and until now no-one seems to have been able to polish him that well until now, and even now its a bit hit or miss and could just be a streak of form. From a hard nosed point of view we have the danger of losing a player we actually invested in for nowt at the end of the season, alterbnatively would he get in the team if/when we are promoted, so if we can use him as a make weight to get another deal over the line it may be an option that suits all. If we sell him now, and then win the league, will he get a medal based on appearances or does that depend on being at the club at the end of the season?

RW was very clear that Wednesday is the day.
It makes sense that Bradford have agreed to a deal but from tomorrow - why give us him early?
On Woolery - I'd be surprised to see him go. He's incredibly useful, even if he's not starting games. Allows us to play a different way, more direct. He's good in the air, is the main target for Benda's long clearances etc.
When everyone's fit, he's a good option from the bench.

I to think that KW is a good impact sub. One thing he has improved on is his heading, he wins a lot of flick ons these days when we do go long and this is a useful tool to have. His long throw also handy in situations where we are chasing a game.
His pace is clearly his main asset, but he just can't seem to get his legs to do what his brain wants. He reminds me a little of how Raheem Sterling was before he matured under Pep, fast but you never really have the confidence that he knows exactly what he is doing.
