Just been told we have asked Southampton if we can take Turnbull on loan till January, will be a call back clause if it does happen due to their lack of options at the back though.

Serious question - if Morshead and Andrew Steele-Davis can't get any stories out of the club, and on the basis the ticket office staff, admin teams etc won't be privy to Power's phone calls (in fact, I'd be surprised if Cooper really knows the target list) - how do you or your source 'know' anything?

Just playing devils advocate...

Is it not potentially viable that the 'source' could come from the Southampton end?

Belford, Thompson, Williams, Branco, BOO, Kasim, Stewart, Traore, Byrne, Obika/Smith, Kent.

Possible starting 11 against Bradford, still hopefull of Ryan Kent.
No Robert??  And why is this in Transfer Rumours?

BBC Radio Wiltshire now reporting that Turnbull is returning to the CG on a season-long loan deal.

I did mention a few pages back about Turnbull returning nice to know my source was good.

Kent will not happen FYI he doesn't want to come to league one.

Turnbull/Thompson/Williams as the back 3 looks maybe even better than last season to me. Turnbull with a year under his belt and Williams looks a more natural defender than Stephens did.

Would be good, may also suggest Southampton aren't so keen on him long term if they are happy for him to stay at this level, maybe a potential signing at some point? like Byrne and Luongo.

They gave him a long contract last season on the back of what he'd done for us...he's still only very young for a centre half.

If they don't think he'll be ready in a year or two, like Spurs clearly did with Luongo, it would not surprise me to see them set-up a similar sort of deal.  Clubs don't look past the next season or two Reg, we know that, so long contracts are little about going for longevity - Delph.

Perhaps they couldn't find a Championship club that would give him the number of games Southampton would want.

So that leaves 1 loan slot left.

Who's going to fill the quota?
