Wes is the best keeper we've had since Digby by a country mile. Massive miss.

Look at the 2 one on one saves he made in the last home game. He kept us in it.

Good shot stopper, average at commanding his area and poor at distribution. He's a good goalkeeper and he'll be a miss if he goes. From what we've seen of Belford though he has much better distribution and assuming he is a good shot stopper (are there any goalkeepers who are not?) then perhaps he can step up for us.

Lot of speculation based on a comment that's not much better than what's found on that Transfer Rumours site.

It's mentioned on there as well as Ranger to QPR and Thompson to Leicester - total bollocks

Someone mentioned on the last match day thread about Thompson, what the fuck has happened to him? From a RB monster to below par in a season. Change in management perhaps?

He was off for a while with injury wasn't he? Might well be a hangover from that. His brother's coming on nicely though, so the Thompson clan is not a total loss.

I still think Thompsons been pretty decent. He set himself high standards and occasionally he does have games where he's not at his best.. But even when he's below par he still does a pretty good job.

That's a fair point. Maybe he stuck out more under Di Canio for whatever reason.

Di Canio is the answer to N Thompson i think. PDC got the best from a lot of players if not all of them and he is one. Perhaps the new approach favours some players but fails to get the best out of others. I don't think Wes has been as good either for example as he was under PDC. Jay Mc the other way though.

Even the shakier one had glimpses of good stuff. He's a good keeper, just needs run in a first team somewhere. Hopefully (with all respect) not ours as Wes is our first choice and rightly so.

Not saying he's bad. Just not seen enough of him to know if he's good.

N Thompson has looked off the pace since his injury and his totting up ban. Along with his aggression comes a crop of yellows.
He hasnt picked up nowhere near as many since his form has dipped
Perhaps the  2 are related.

Louis always seems to have a decent runout whenever he manages to get on

Nahki Wells funded that one.

Bit of a gamble. Not done much since leaving P'boro quite a few years ago, admittedly at a higher level. Doubt he's cheap!
