I think that making an enquiry and making a bid are more or less the same thing. It's quite unlikely that another manager will enquire about a player's valuation of of sheer curiosity so there is almost certainly some intent there.

I mean it's obviously not 100% accurate but the CM/FM series has gone from an amusing divergence with some obviously made-up stats on some players to a massive operation which scouts every single club they can and complies a huge amount of information on players and teams. Seems sensible to me to use that resource. Clubs already use databases for scouting etc., so it's not a massive leap. Doesn't make it any less amusing mind.

Yes, and there is nothing wrong with them making a speculative enquiry.


What slightly worries me is that its not just Covenry that has been linked. Not only that but someone in Covs position making the enquiry too, did they think we were deparate (or the player wants out).

OK a million what ifs there, I don't think we are going to lose him - at least I'm not yet worried about that.
