More bad phrasing on my part than anything else, I know it's a comedy account, but he's been linked in a few more genuine places so if we were indeed interested then him going lower down the leagues is a strange one.

Has anyone worked out who that is by the way? Not surreal enough to Spacey or Ben who were prime suspects.

Connell - average
Magera - cows arse/banjo
Kerrouche - average
Williams - still here
Collins - back to where we got him from

Hardly a fearsome line up for L1

So you'd take the trio of Williams, Smith and Barker instead? All bar Magera scored a fair few goals that year. Connell and Collins, for all their limitations, were perfectly credible strikers - Collins especially had a lot of potential. It just hasn't happened. I would have predicted he'd be in the Championship and going well by now. You've also missed Benson.

Your previous post suggested that we're looking good, unless there are injuries. Well, there will be. That's why strength in depth counts. We've neither strength nor depth....yet. We have one decent striker, in Smith. One guy who used to be rapid and score a few, who now plays as if he is in permanant fear that football has been declared a contact sport and a Brighton youth team player. I am sure we will put that right though.

I know it's been done to death, but with the lack of depth up top loaning out Storey is looking an increasingly strange decision. We must be getting one more in in that position?

I think that must be the plan. If not we can always withdraw Storey surely? Or is he on a season-longer? I can't remember.

A glass of squash to anyone who can identify the Swedish striker we almost signed this week but is on the way to a Prem club.

Possibly Modou Barrow.

Possibly Modou Barrow.

Power mentioned it just before HT - that's the bloke. Current club (Ostersunds FK) rate him at £1.5m somehow. Shame, would have been one of the best named players we've had.
