Anyone have any idea who the Barnet players were that Byrne mentions today?
Byrne added: "We spoke to Barnet about a few players, but they are asking for ridiculous money to come here and that's the situation we are faced with, so we are going to look at the foreign market and see if we can grab a gem
this player has asked for a request but doubt its him so probably was puncheon. |

You've got the think this statement is probably a good move by MM and the club in general. I know it might piss off the fans a bit in the short term but I like to think that it's basically a shot across the bows of any club we're looking to do business with this closed season whomight be thinking "Swindon have a few quid now, time to bump some prices up".
I bet we spend money on at least one player this summer. But it's tactically better to start from a position of saying "sorry we've got no transfer fund".

I reckon Malpas probably said "hundereds of thousands of pounds" and they've written it as £100,000 so people are moaning about Malpas for nothing.
