People should be encouraged to protest against whatever they like, its something the British have frankly got piss poor at in recent years, with the vast majority just quietly doing what the politicians tell them to do and not arguing.

It Trump and Brexit wind people up a bit it can only be a good thing!
Genuine question, when is the last time you went on a protest.

A protest against an EDL (or may have been Britain First) march (if that makes sense) in Lancaster last year. We don't tend to get many round here now I have moved, unless the milk price continues to drop?

Apologies, people who go on these marches fair play to them even if most of their efforts are futile and probably a waste of time. It is the people who are banging on about protests online urging everyone else to do so over the smallest things i have a massive dislike for, those people who are telling everyone just how awful everything is without doing fuck all about it.
Ha ha so after all that, I think we actually agree with each other Cheesy

Well that was a constructive use of both our time. FWIW, they're not quite as bad as the "I get all my political news from memes on Facebook which I 100% believe even though they're palpably not true" brigade (of both right and left persuasions)

I've done loads of marches and protests down the years....classic stuff like Grunwick, Aldermaston, GCHQ, Miner's Strke, CND, Greenham Common....STFC 1990, Swindon's biggest ever protest march.

Part of the appeal was that you'd get to meet right on middle class birds.....  now though the nearest I get is at the annual Tolpuddle Festival in the summer, they just have to have a march, with banners aloft etc... it's in the DNA of a leftie in the same way as hunting foxes and shooting grouse or pheasant is in the DNA of a Tory.

I mean it's obvious they've done this for attention but this might be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in the press and I used to read the Adver.

Class 2, now aiming to make a nuisance of myself to the managers at work to get myself a job on the trucks, I'm senior to a good number of the guys on the 7.5 tonners so as long as I can get my name on the list, I'll be able to sign someone out of their job Cheesy fingers crossed it's not too long til I get a full time drive...

Seems the Class 2 jobs at work are tied in with Class 1 drives on 3 week rotates, which sucks. RM have started driver training again after nearly 10 years of not doing any, but its very limited numbers. We shall see!
