So, where does all this activity leave the likes of McGlashan, Iandolo, Richards, Smith etc. I’m all for bringing in young players on a perm but are they likely to be better than what we’ve got?

That Bennett from BRovers is supposed to be their highest earner!

I like the strategy, the young un’s for the future and the experienced loans for one last crack at doing something this season

I like the fact we are starting to create a pool of development players, it feels like there is some actual scouting happening at the club now.

I just don't know what to make of it all. new signings are always good fun and you have the hope of them coming good. We have a ridiculous amount of players now in midfield and we still don't have a decent combination.

People on long-ish permanent contracts are what most fans crave, if they turn out shit however we always struggle to get rid. These are young kids, hopefully paul jewell can pull this one off and we can look forward.

Disappointed we haven't managed to move anybody out yet. Thought Smith would have moved on as he hasn't had a look in for months. Also expected at least one of Iandolo, McGlashan or Diagouraga to move on. Squad looks top heavy at the moment, especially in midfield.

You mean the “one in, one out” policy somebody always bangs on about isn’t exactly true?

Theo Robinson seems to be taking a while to be confirmed. Meanwhile, it appears that Southend have missed out on a couple of Striker targets themselves...

Ipswich news reporting that we were apparently after a Young right back of theirs, but it didn’t happen. A bit odd considering we have Knoyle and supposedly back up in Carroll...

By my calcs this window, we've moved out Alzate, Bayo, Nelson, Robertson, Pryce, Edwards, Romanski, Henry.  That's 8. We've moved in Koiki, Broadbent, Carroll, House, Curran, Aussie bloke, Rose and Bennett. That's 8.   Have I missed anybody  Hmmm

Still a match time to go yet though....
