Outside of that should we get promoted, how much are we going to pay for a replacement in the championship assuming we can't get a suitable loanee?
Based on Power's track record he probably has a shortlist of gems lined up who will cost fuck all. I'm have no doubts at all about Power's ability to replace Luongo whenever he goes, summer at the latest.

With regard to Luongo, whatever £'s prise him away irrespective of whether we get him back on loan is the £'s we will have to hand over to the yids. Outside of that should we get promoted, how much are we going to pay for a replacement in the championship assuming we can't get a suitable loanee? Further more if we did get a loanee they will need time to bed in, we need to hit the ground running next season if we are promoted with as many of our established and suitably experienced players as possible. We really do look too good for this division at times but up a league we'll look ok but I fear another premier experience could happen just be around the corner if we're not fully prepared for it.
One step at a time. Let's get there first. Power will have his price for Luongo now. A nervy few days to see if he'll ever play for us again.

With all the sellable assets we have about the place now every transfer window is going to be interesting. Better than a few years back when our better players were worth about £100k.

I stand by my recent comment - Swift was signed as Luongo's like for like replacement -at least Power will get a fair fee which won't be far above that bid made by Besiktas.

Luongo and kasim are both worth more since the Asian cup. In their absence we have played some of our best stuff so if proper bids come in sell them and secure Swift on a permanent deal. We don't give them away and most certainly don't sell to the likes of Brentford but if we got 4 million for the pair we could say we have done well for club, fans and the players. Mas has basked in the glow of a stellar showing in the Asian cup and his head cannot fail to be turned under such media scrutiny so unless he wants to stay (which would we fantastic) let him go.

I would have thought selling for a lower figure plus player swap (e.g. 2 from Soton or 2 from Norwich) would be the better deal considering the hefty sell on.
Buying Swift? Never gonna happen! (P.S. He looked very one footed to me.)
