You're only allowed 5 in a matchday squad. Not sure what the limit is for the squad in general, but pretty sure Watford had more than 5 last season/the season before.

Yes I would agree, don't want to lose him, but if the magic 3m comes in think it will be hard to turn down.

Be happy with £3m+ with Swift in the squad.

Would still need another body in, though - which convinces me he's not going in this window

Trouble is, if Swift got injured we'd be in trouble. Rich, but in trouble.

Probably why Power wants him loaned back

If we got the right money for Massimo and could use it to buy Swift, and have Massimo back on loan ...

Turning down what would be a record fee. Quality stuff by Mr Power. Hopefully he is going all out for promotion and taking the risk of getting less for Mass in the summer.

Going by Power's record so far, he'll end up getting more in the summer regardless of whether or not we go up.

You think you've seen it all as a Town fan, and then along comes a random Thursday when the club turns down a multi million pound offer from Sevilla.

Great to see some balls in the boardroom. Last season's wannabe chairman would already have spent the cash on a few Toby Carverys and personalised number plates.

With regard to Luongo, whatever £'s prise him away irrespective of whether we get him back on loan is the £'s we will have to hand over to the yids. Outside of that should we get promoted, how much are we going to pay for a replacement in the championship assuming we can't get a suitable loanee? Further more if we did get a loanee they will need time to bed in, we need to hit the ground running next season if we are promoted with as many of our established and suitably experienced players as possible. We really do look too good for this division at times but up a league we'll look ok but I fear another premier experience could happen just be around the corner if we're not fully prepared for it.
