I genuinley feel sorry for scotland. Their performances have been brilliant against the odds and full of heart, and they have the most passionate crowd in the british isles. And come on, it would of been much funnier seeing france not qualifying wouldnt it

The curse of Gordon Brown strikes again :
Turns up to 'cheer' on England against Germany...sees them lose, then
turns up at the Rugby World Cup final...and sees England lose,
and turns up at Hampden to cheer on the Scots...and sees them lose!!

Oops. Scotland have a fantastic qualifying campaign and stay at home. England have a piss poor campaign and have a good chance to progress. Sometimes the world ain't fair, thankfully Im English not Scotish so I got over that quite quick!

The England vs. Scotland rivalry is a little like Swindon vs. Reading. Fortunes change from time to time(oh fortuna!), but one is always seething while the other shrugs it's shoulders.
Personally, I'll laugh at anyone's misfortune apart from STFC given the mood, even England.

gutted. That match sums up what it's like being a Scotland/Swindon fan.
Football's a bastard at times, that goal reminded of Town v Brighton in 04. Gut wrenching.

Sorry Reg, not meaning to be pedantic here, but where in that post have I complained?? About anything? I accept the result, yes the free kick shouldn't have been given but that's football. As you say the ref/linesmen made many errors, they were inept, but not biased. End of the day we were the third best team in the group.
