i suppose you want to know where i'm at with this.

well, let's put it this way, for lunch i will be enjoying a fresh tomato and basil soup.

for tea, i will be starting off with a wild mushroom bruschetta.

this will be followed by a delightful seafood linguini, complimented with a bottle of pinot grigio.

that will wash it down very nicely.

then, i will indulge in a tiramisu.

i hope i have made myself very clear.

I have always had a soft spot for Scotland, I have Scottish roots from a couple of hundred years ago and my father in law is Scots and till this week I wanted Scotland to qualify.

Up till this week....

Watching Sky Sports News most of the week (for my sins) I was surprised that probably 90% or more Scots want England to get stuffed and not to go through to the finals, and were not at all sympathetic to the English, I know they dont like us but to have such hate for the English expressed by so many "fans" almost shocked me.

As of now I have no time for the Scots and hope the Italians stuff them, they deserve as much sympathy to their cause as they have given us.

Yeah as england fans it makes sense for you not wanting the world champions and therefore one of the favourites for the euro's to be knocked out pre-tournament.

Just because a few scots prefer to see england get stuffed than win, and then have to sit in their Scottish homes watching the British Broadcasting Corps news go on and on about England.

I couldn't give a shit whether you want Italy to win or not, funny thing is you're using the same logic for supporting the italians as the Scots are using to support any side that plays england.  Which gives you no right to moan about anti-english Scots.

Alba gu brath, have a nice day whoever you're supporting!!

Personally my menu today has been

Toast and tea in the morning

packet of crisps, a yoghurt and a cornish pasty

not sure what I'll have for tea, probably a curry.

Add about 10 pints of cornish ale to the mix.

Not sure what that tells you though!

That is exactly why I am supporting Italy on this...if its good enough for them then its good enough for me.....kinda obvious really! That was exactly my point if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

Urm, not sure if that's something to be proud of.  Just seems a little childish to me.  "he started it...no I didn't he did...".  To be fair though in my eyes it's good to have decent rivalry, just like club football.

I love to see england get knocked down a peg or two, but I would love to see both go through, to see Scotland and england in 2008, in the same group would be amazing!

Plus we'd beat you, which would make it even better.

i dont really care who wins,i'm just hoping to see a decent match.
but at least the scots have busted a gut and hit the heights that their fans have been dreaming of.
shame us english cannot say the same.its in scotlands hands(or feet) but out of ours...

i've eaten last nights pizza for lunch and will be having a nice curry this evening washed down with a few lagers,as this is a food related thread.
