I always thought CC's goal v Exeter represented the start of our climb under Lou. Up til then we hadn't started the season well, Lou got headed in the nads by Jon Shaw Exeter keeper and retired. CC showed that leadership to dig out a win at the end of a game. OST scored a goal v someone lke Barnsley where he found himself onside when they streamed out and lobbed it nonchalent over the keeper. Here you go about 1:46 in. http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/MatchCentre.asp?MatchID=19950110It was Leigh Barnard who injured Lou forcing him out of the game wasn't it? when LKB was on loan from Town and allowed to play against us? Or was that the season before? And yes that was a super goal by OST against Barnsley I remember that well, the one I was thinking of was the opponents defence ran out and OST (or Claderwood) chipped the ball up over the outrushing defenders and getting onto his own pass and scored one on one with the keeper after dribbling through the middle.

Well, we know where we're goin' But we don't know where we've been And we know what we're knowin' But we can't say what we've seen And we're not little children And we know what we want And the future is certain Give us time to work it out

I just remember Lou going for a ball late on, Shaw came out and clattered him and that was his last game.

I just checked...the game I was thinking of was the season before when LKB clattered into Lou while on loan from the Town...

Wasn't it Ooooh Shaun Taylor that did the chip and run through to score? My memory fails me often though!
I'm pretty sure it was CC v Exeter at home in Oct 85, last minute winner. Just over 3,000 there to witness it. Can't find footage or a match report, so could be completely wrong.

I was thinking more around 92 or 93 when Taylor was given more freedom to roam out of defence. So probably not the same incident! I don't remember the Exeter game in Oct 85 at all even though I was definately there, yet I do remember the game in Mar 85 vs Exeter vivdly!

Received a letter at work today signed by a Amar Shitole.
It raised a wry smile.

I've probably mentioned this before but I've had to write an email to someone in our American office who's called 'Gaylord' before
Obviously bullying didn't affect him as I can't imagine 70/80s kids letting that one go, let alone anyone after that generation tbf

The satisfaction of telling an awkward client to fuck-off. Just being in a position to be able to do that is satisfying in itself.

Excellent, that is indeed a milestone rather than giving in and it being a millstone.

Cheers. It's not a financial reason in the sense that I have loadsa money, my bank account is still bloody empty. More that I have things structured in a way that losing one or two doesn't have an immediate impact on my earnings, and I have time to replace them. That's something I've not had in the past.

The Diamonds Factory in Hatton Garden. https://www.diamondsfactory.co.ukRecommended by a painter who did some work on my flat, as cheaper and better quality than most places. The ring I’ve purchased (I’m proposing soon) is so much better than anything I’ve seen. Price wise it seems unbeatable. Amusingly an ex-girlfriend used to work there and raved about it.
