Liverpool were stuck at 0-0 today away at Aston Villa, Crouch comes on, wins them a penalty which breaks the deadlock and wins them the game.

Crouch is just another Heskey. Fairly decent player, but not the highest caliber

Crouch played a big part in the other goal too, no coincedence that liverpool got the two late goals with Crouch on the field and nothing when he wasn't, he changed the game completely.

Sorry but it was never a penalty, Crouch had his arm round the Villa player and went down.

Yes he did look like scoring, he set two up and caused Villa a hell of a lot of problems when the match looked to be heading for a draw, all in just 20 minutes. He should start alongside Cisse (although he was crap along with Morientes) in their next game.

i've just read the match report on the bbc site and they say he missed a very good opportunity to score? tut tut! well at least he's getting in the right places, i'm sure when one goes in he'll score fairly regularly.

They do also say "The England striker quickly made his presence felt, picking out Gerrard, whose rasping shot was saved by Sorensen.", but that's not a great match report to be honest. Benitez praised him and damn right too.

Crouch is just another Heskey. Fairly decent player, but not the highest caliber i agree! his heading is atrocious for a stricker of 6 foot 7! he had a glorious chance today with a free header and stuck it straight down the keepers throat

peter crouch has the marmite effect: some say he's dreadful, others say he's fantastic, when in truth he is somewhere in between these two points. he is a good footballer.

If that was a penalty then I am a tractor wheel You have to admit he played well though Dave, fans, managers, pundits all agree.
