What I enjoyed most today was not sitting back when their player was sent off. That drive to keep scoring could make a big difference at the end of the season. Whether that is making sure we're safe from relegation or pushing for a play off spot.

Not that I'm expecting either likelihoods now.

Thought we'd struggle today, we've had a chunk of luck through the game but Carlisle just imploded. Clinical finishing from Town!

Think the red impacted that a smidge. But the main story of today was that one team were clinical today, another wasn't. Thankfully Town were the clinical one. Drinan's goal off the post was great and Hugil's goal for them was classy af.

Weird game. Carlisle play some really good stuff and a strange scenario where Town didn't deserve to win 5 - 1 and Carlisle didn't deserve to lose 5 - 1. Town obviously still deserved to win, and also been helped by two silly reds per match.

With a bit more confidence and more likely their squad gelling, when it does - I think they will rise up the table and likely be a strong contender next season. They certainly have built with more long game in mind. I am certain they will stay up . Credit to them for being one of the few teams in this division for actually having some structure and plan, whilst also trying to play football.

But good teams, or teams on the up, tend to win matches even when they aren't at their best. That's a good sign, any time but when you've won 5 - 1 and against a well playing side, that's a fantastic sign.

Have to find it odd that the first response from some people, after such a win is to rip into Spirit Of 69 group. Totally still missing the point of ''back the team,  not the regime''. Town could win every match to the end of the season - the premise still stands regarding BTS at the club. For those at the back of the room - Get. That. Into. Your. Heads.

Drinan was great today, almost like a new signing and all subs were good value. Sometimes some players are better with crumbs rather than a whole biscuit. Long may that continue and seemingly the team doesn't need to rely on Smith every week. Goals coming from midfield too.

History will tell us it was a fourth win in a row for Swindon Town FC and that is all that matters on the pitch

Maybe talk of the play offs is fanciful but it's got to be said that the teams between us and 7th are no world beaters

Only 10 points in it, well 11 really thanks to the goal difference, but with the games in hand I expect we're probably still too far off. However it is very nice to finally start looking up more than down.

What a cracking away day.
I am absolutely wasted. The Rangers fans that made the journey down loved it.

Up at 6am and home at 11pm.
Carlisle a real football club and decent fans.

We are almost safe.

If it wasn’t for the fact we are 2-3 games ahead of team above us - I’d fancy a late surge…
