I said at the time...Holloway had just arrived at the Club and saw the ghost thing as a way of breaking the ice and lifting the spirits (pun intended) of the players and taking a bit of pressure off. With it being Holloway, a few media outlets got hold of it and it got more publicity than it warranted. I don't think he did it in a "Look at me, I'm quirky and hilarious" kind of way...Just my take on it...

I have always seen it the complete opposite.
I feel like he’s always trying to get his next viral moment, he loves the attention and loves it when the likes of TalkSport get him on.

I can’t fault what he’s done as manager, he’s turned it around, but I’m another who’s not keen on him.
How he acted at Bradford didn’t help either.

I get that, just never been a fan of him. Got to give him credit for the way he has turned us around recently. Be interesting to see how it pans out against the better teams in the league in the next few weeks.

As for the players... the current players are performing mid to higher level League 2. Not rock bottom as they were at one stage.
Aren't these basically the same players that started the seaon. So does logic tell you that Jamie Russell might have had it right and simply Kennedy was just a complete fuck up as was Jody Morris ?

Still my question is...why did Micheal Flynn not get a couple more players in before he lost the dressing room last season.
Because in my opinion he was also potentially a very good manager for STFC.

Watched the game on an intermittent stream whilst on holiday in the land down under in the lovely city of Perth. As said elsewhere, I agree it was not a 5-1 game but you can put whatever analogy on it and that was the result. What I like as much as anything is that there appears to be one hell of a spirit in the squad and IH’s use of subs to not only change the way we play but to give players time on the pitch which with many of our other previous managers never did. I get the impression also that Holloway’s man management skills are part and parcel of our upturn in our current position.

It is possible of course that both theories are correct. It was a way of taking a bit of pressure off the players whilst at the same time, getting publicity for himself. I suspect that may well be the case, although it's all water under the bridge now.

Re the Bradford thing, I feel like his attitude to the fans had changed/softened somewhat and that maybe someone has had a word to the wise...

Maybe he’s realised that those of us who are anti Clem and his goons might be justified…

I haven’t followed Holloway’s career closely enough but I wonder if he’s over the top analogies & ‘viral’ sounds bites tend to come out more when his teams are not doing well? …and maybe it is some sort of diversion tactic.

Mourinho has always done it. Not necessarily with the same goofy comedic type of comments Holloway does & he’s always said he did it to take pressure off his players.

Do you think Clem knew anything about Mark Kennedy before he gave him the job? Giving no credit for appointing IH but criticising for MK, doesn't quite make sense.

No, but i suspect Chris Kiely did Wink
