Looks like we could play till next Easter & we still wouldn’t trouble Sutton.
A team with nothing to play for vs a team fighting for their life. Not the full reason for our insipid performance but playing a part.

I’d like to see us bring on McEachran, McGurk, McKirdy & McGregor (without taking McCarthy off) just because…

Seriously though, we keep going back to a back three, and it keeps being a bad idea.

We were bad last Saturday and even worse today so far. How can some of these players call themselves professional is beyond me.

That is a bit harsh - BUT, what is fair is that we have put together an ill fitting squad of misfits.  Players who were just about done at their old employer, or already needing to find a new home.  It is not a surprise that we end up with a team that looks a bit shit as a result.  It's OK though because we can put 5 forwards on if we need to.

Sticking three up top in this type of game, playing the way they are is utterly pointless.  We've essentially given up any hope of nullifying Sutton's strength by bypassing midfield ourselves, and they are going to be a lot better than us at that game.  Everything we do is rushed, get it forwards and hope for scraps - they at least have a plan with the direct play.  Neither of our two midfielders have got into the game at all - which is not surprising given Aguiar has always looked lightweight at this level and the other lad has gone 3 years between games!!!!

So, what game changers do we have on the bench?

McKirdy & McGurk but game changes we’d have to get the ball too and I don’t think we have that in us.

Brutally, we probably need to lose our remaining games to stop Gunning getting the job permanently, don't we?

If it means getting rid of Gunning and that we still stay up I would probably go for that.
