Does anyone know of any hidden gems in Glasgow and Edinburgh? I've got a long list already, but just in case I missed anything.
Tynecastle Arms if your in Gorgie, or if you are unfortunate to be in Leith, the Cabbage and Ribs!
I used to live at the bottom of Leith Walk and there was a real rank affair down there, I was always too scared to set foot in it. Id imagine the toilets were like the trainspotting ones! Unfortunately I've not been to Edinburgh for ages, but if you head along Rose Street, which runs parallel behind Princes Street you've got the Oxford and Cambridge bars, made 'famous' by Rebus.
The only pub ive been to in Glasgow was before a Celtic Champions League game. It was called Turnstyles and had bars on the windows. You could get 660ml bottles of Tennants for a couple of quid.
Again, this was ages ago and as a tourist, probably wouldn't recommend it! Sorry ive not been a huge help!
