Many moons ago, The French Horn, Pewsey (lock ins aplenty)

Used to work just up the road from the French Horn.
Many a lunchtime pint, meal & Christmas do in there in the 90's.
The longstanding couple that ran the place packed it in I  think.
Of the temp landlords after that one were the most unassuming & harmless elderly couple imaginable, but delivered such a ferocious chilli con carne that the memory of which brings tears to the eyes even now.

Charters - Peterborough. Good selection of real Ales & walking distance to London Road when we play them again.

Greyhound - Bromham, really good for food, and the only pub left in the village where I grew up.

For foodies, the Blue Bell at Glinton, really nice for food and has guest beers

Love Charters, great setting and a must do prior to any visit to London Road.

The Sheffield Tap, Platform One, Sheffield Train Station

Aye, any of the "Tap" type pubs within or just outside stations are well worth a visit.
Doncaster, Harrogate, York & Manchester Piccadilly are all good.

Dave Peeley ran it when I used to frequent but that was the mid 70s.

The Soho Inn, Studley (a lot of good memories from there). Now called the Black Dog Inn. Reminded me of the Slaughtered Lamb back in the day 

Glue Pot - Saturday diversion before a game.

Beehive, Glue Pot & Drink Valley are a good mini pub crawl before a home game.
Difficult to miss Flash with the hat. Will say hello one day.

The Swan and Riverside Hotel in Tewkesbury and The Cotswold in Cheltenham late 70’s and early 80’s.

Went to Gloucester City v South Shields last week ( a Geordie walking footballer mate in Stroud has a few shares in South Shields) and we had a session in the Pelican behind the cathedral. Old school with a log fire. Going back.

The Tom Cobley at Crediton in Devon, is probably THE best pub anywhere, CAMRA pub of the year a few times and great food and brilliant beer with 5 real ales on every day.

2nd to that is the Hop Inn in Old Town, superb.
