How long would it take free agents to get up to speed with this current squad? About a minute and a half I should imagine.

That's a bullshit excuse because if you were serious about signing someone you would bring them into training to assess them and improve fitness. Dont think theres been one example of this since the window closed despite allegedly 'looking at free agents' the whole time.

I'd take a half fit Dan Gosling for example who might be a bit rusty having not played for 6 months over a 16 year old child.

I'm so fucking angry. Honestly not just with Clem but with a section of our fan base. For burying their heads and allowing this to be un challenged. Particularly on Facebook. Everybody on Facebook can do one.

Highest gates in 30 odd years yet wages are being paid late and we have about 13 pro players.

There is no fucking way on earth Clem budgeted for 9000 gates either. Anybody who isn't a complete moron budgets this club at 6-7k because that's where our gates usually lie at this level. He's taken our tremendous support for granted.

So even with 25% more income than he initially expected before taking over, he still can't afford to run this club.

I mean - in that situation he’d take out anything he could to pay himself back first wouldn’t it.

I’m with you that it’s not as black & white as ‘no Clem, no Swindon’ but we are quite reliant on him right now…

I didn’t think we were as bad in the 2nd half as some here are saying when we went forwards, but as soon as the ball is in midfield, they waltz through to a back 3 that play wide and high, and with gaps aplenty. The main issue for me remains the absence of a proper holding midfielder. One that sits, and doesn’t over commit. The defence are lambs to the slaughter without that.  

We can’t simultaneously blame Flynn, whilst blaming squad depth. You could give this squad to Guardiola and he’d struggle. A decent XI when they’re fresh and confident, but they’re running on fumes, and their confidence has been knocked. Normally when that happens, some get a rest. We can’t do that. Morfuni and the shadow board have neutered Flynn’s ability to manage. He can’t threaten players with being dropped, he can’t give someone a break when they need to physically or mentally freshen up, he has no tactical flexibility because he doesn’t have the tools. The board have quickly spending all of the post-Power capital they’d built up. If they have any sense, they’ll sell before a buyer realises that 9k crowds are not the norm. Saturday’s crowd will be telling.
