I wonder if the players that played in the second half today might also have a bit of a run out at Hereford tonight? Might be a good way of testing them when they are 'fatigued' (apologies, that's as tiresome as the 'Trialist family' thing in football)

Might be a chance of giving them a run out with some experience on the pitch, looking at the post 60 mins line up it was literally Swindon kids and BC kids.

I think Darcy is a lost cause honestly. I think Aguiar has more about him than Darcy does.

I get the feeling that Flynn has told Darcy he’s not in his plans and is free to go.

You’d think he would then work his nuts off to prove him wrong 🤷🏼‍♂️

You and me would think that, Darcy looks like he has a differing opinion!

I'm assuming the ones sent to Hereford are the ones to move on, Aguiar and Adeloye. I had hoped that would be Darcy as well.

Judging by his body language and his flailing arms in frustration at other players and his own passes I would suggest he didn't want to be there today.

For very different reasons, I can see why Darcy gets persisted with alongside Shade.

Shade has the look of a player who was a physical specimen when younger, so probably bullied his way through youth level football and shone.  As the others catch-up and the pool around you begins to shrink to equally good players, you find a player who seemingly never had to learn the tactical side of a game - he lacks, or seems to, a footballing brain.

Darcy on the other hand is the opposite.  A player who probably appeared to have all the technical abilities when younger and probably, to this day, looks good in training.  When the pressure is off, when there is freedom to play, he probably looks quite good.  He just looks utterly lost in the cut and thrust of an actual game, especially when a team has a bit of an upper hand against us.  Reed looked exactly the same for his first game, but he clearly had some feet to find, whereas Darcy has looked exactly the same all season.  Flickers of talent when pressure is off or he has fallen into space, but completely lacking any impact for 90% of the game.  A very poor mans Payne, who at least had the appetite and nigglyness to get stuck in and try and be involved.  Darcy is like a fan stuck in the middle, watching it all go on around him.

you have to be fair to those that came on at 60 minutes, they didn't have a lot around them.

Very difficult to judge their performance in those circumstances.

Admittedly you'd hope they'd stand out more

I would rather we play teams which resembles league 2 to prepare for the coming season.

I might be in the minority for this, but whilst Shade's pass to Minturn was absolutely horrific, Minturn's reaction wasn't exactly the height of professionalism. He basically stopped and made a gesture as if to say 'what the fuck was that'. He eventually did run back and try and put the striker off, but by then he'd put the ball into the net.
