Last 2 summers have been full of comments like that around the STFC’sphere as the season approaches and our squad looks no where near where it should be. There is some truth behind the logic, better players do move later in the window and out of contract players have more offers to consider so decide later but that’s not applicable to us if we’re hoping to snag the leftovers for peanuts |

We know there’s truth to that for well run clubs who are aiming to add the cherry on the top to their already established squad but let’s not use it as an excuse for our case of waiting until the last minute with a small squad in hopes of getting players cheaper when they have exhausted all possible other options first.
Few shouts like that we could avoid hearing this year but we'll still hear them anyway. |
