Think that’s the point, the £100k investment didn’t actually happen. It was a lie…
All very murky. Would like some of our journalists to ask a few questions there.

From wiki: "In a podcast interview in late 2022, Holloway blamed his Grimsby departure on the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that his scouting network was not suited to operate at League Two level. He also stated he would be interested in a return to management but only at EFL Championship level"

Wasn’t Gillingham at home Mad Gav’s first game in charge?
All gung-ho and 3 down within 30 minutes.

Wasn't it the second, didn't we trash someone 5-0 (Grimsby maybe) in his first?

Presumably a very cheap appointment having been out of work for so long and with easy release clauses? I hope he can galvanize the team and keep us in this league but I am not convinced. Anything above 20th at the end of the season gets him another year?

Holloway's prefered formation is 4:3:3, along with a career average of ppg of 1.35, needs an instant impact to get the fans re-engaged. I would like to see 4:2:3:1 as this would "play to personnel", as Cloughie used to say..

The best managers always pick a side based upon the players available and what positions they play best in, only iditos shoehorn players into a formation which they are not familiar with. Back to basics. If a left back prefers to play left back then play him left back not at CB. If a DMC prefers that role then play him there and not a left winger.

I'm accused sometimes of wearing rose tinted specs. If people thought we were a joke before, I fear we'll now become a full blooded sit-com. I absolutely can't stand the bloke, with his so called "witty repartee" and country gent dress sense.Dodgy, massively overrated throughout his career(a la McMenemy and Redknapp sen) and a disaster waiting to happen. Having said that,if he gets up the table I'd be willing to review my position!

The comments from Grimsby fans on Twitter… “he’ll try and get fraudsters involved like he did here”. It’s suddenly obvious why he’s been appointed then….
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Havent read back...
Saw on the official FB page some comments ref Kennedy and that another Manager had been driven out!?
Check the Wins column in the League table you tools!!
Holloway is old skool and that might help us at this time.
After that first half at Salford, all the Ipads and GPS vests should be binned....string together three passes and learn where to position yourself before all that bollocks!
