I have the same opinion, but I also think it needs an expiration date.

At some point the majority of their active support will be those that have only ever supported MK, for as long they can remember. As the time passes, their origin story will fade from being common knowledge etc.

Hard to wish harm on anyone’s lifelong club.

But then I'll have to admit I'm old.

Not for me. They've got access to the internet and will know what their club is. Never forget.

Yeah its a scummy origin, isn't it?

5/6 year olds growing up in MK and just discovering football are hardly likely to care.

I have zero issue with their young fans who have grown up supporting what has always now been their hometown team

Still hope they go bust.

They can support Milton Keynes FC or AFC MK or whatever. The fact they still have Dons in their name is fucking insulting.

Yes, well beyond time for that to die. No good reason for it to still be there.

Would you think the same if it had been Swindon that they moved away to MK, because let’s be honest around that time it could quite well have been.

They are an abomination to football and always will be

The FA should never have sanctioned the move

I was referring to the adopted “Dons” part of their name. So yes?

Kingstonian ground stealers!!

That was a domino effect which actually was impacted by Chelsea FC and some might say initially the Khosla's (who effectively cashed in about 20years ago) when originally selling the lease to AFC Wimbledon. Wimbledon had no real choice but to sell the ground shared ground (with Kingstonians) as Wimbledon themselves were after all trying to get back to Plough Lane. Plus Wimbledon at least gave about £1m to Kingstonians from the sale...a reminder that the Khosla's didn't hand a penny over to Kingstonians.

There was nothing in that agreement to really stop Chelsea FC from allowing Kingstonians to continue playing at Kingsmeadow though. Probably worth looking at the bigger picture of why Chelsea FC, were allowed to own a ground about 10miles away in the first place; just so their Academy and Ladies sides had somewhere "nicer" to play...

Oh, I see what you mean, no I didn’t make that very clear.

At present, plenty of their fans were full adults at the time of the league position/club theft, and somehow thought, “yeah I’ll back that”  Roll Eyes

I guess why not as they never had a football league team so it was happy days for them irrespective of how wrong it was.
