This won't be a popular view, but I empathise massively with Oxford's position. We have had very significant shit ownership/off field matters of our own to deal with over the years. And while I want to beat OUFC soundly every time we meet them (which hasn't been much, lately), I'll wish them nothing but the best of luck in sorting out their own off field/ground issues.
They're a similar club to us with a similar fanbase...just 35 miles up the road. We've so much more in common with the yellow lot than many would care to admit.
Thanks for providing the update, Goat. Genuinely interesting.

Yeah I wouldn't want to see them go out of business and I agree, there is one club that I would, but the reactions I saw to our issues were pretty much the same as mine, so they can go right to the brink with misery off the pitch as far as I'm concerned.

At some point the majority of their active support will be those that have only ever supported MK, for as long they can remember. As the time passes, their origin story will fade from being common knowledge etc. Hard to wish harm on anyone’s lifelong club. |
