I have been told that his season long loan still is a season long loan. In addition to that he will be available in the summer.

Would be great if we could keep him. Between him and Benda they are our best keepers since Fodders

Let’s get it done in January if we can. Probably have a few suitors come the summer if he’s available for free

Agreed and surely fits our 'model'. Can see him going for big money in the future.

Assuming the original post is correct, we just need to hope nobody else has seen him play and he doesn't realise how good he is.
Then we might be in with a chance.

Presume we’ll need to get promoted to sign him. He’s obviously aware he’s capable of playing higher than L2.

There's not that many first team goalkeeper spots going in pro football. If you can get one and the money is right, you'd be wise to take it. Benda is playing for Swans now but spent 2 years sitting on the bench. Not all talented keepers will want to or benefit from that risk of being at a higher club

Also goalkeepers tend to get better with age so could return to a bigger club in a few years.

your not benching brynn. hes no.1. player of the season award and team of the year. there you go
I get most player predictions (yates/adebayo etc) wrong so il wack this in. If he's out of contract does that mean clubs can speak to him now? He is absolutely our model and why we need loan players. Its nice to have your own players but you will miss out on players of a higher calibre if you don't use the system. Fine balance required.

If he's available for a reasonable amount of money, it would be stupid not to buy him on a nice long contract. Be amazed if you don't make a profit down the line.

The only thing is that you just don't make money on goalkeepers. Our best keepers of the last 15 years or so (Foderingham, Vigs) all left on frees. Don't think we've sold a keeper for money since Mildenhall (well, Ward, but think that was fairly nominal).
Trying to think of a keeper sold for big money from the lower leagues and I'm coming up with a complete blank. Google tells me Paolo Gazzaniga from Gills to Southampton for £3m in 2012/13 - had no idea he was ever at Gillingham! Nobody else over £1m ever - Hart from Shrews was less, as was Joe Lewis.
I'd still go for him though!

i would say times have changed though. whilst goalkeeper transfers aren't as common for example those fees for the players mentioned would have been massive in todays market. Foderingham ultimately left because he was too good for us but just by him playing for us we nearly made it to the championship and he would have stayed i'm sure. doing really again for sheffield utd this season
