To be fair one of Hursts goals was questionable whether it crossed the line !

Never in doubt.

I'll leave that for someone else. The reason why is that I get fed up with people on here shouting you down if you have a contrary point of view. You can't debate anything without getting a 'snotty' response.

My opinion of the WC final is that I don't care who wins it now. I was interested while England were in it, but was conflicted by the corruption of FIFA and the Qataris and whether I should have supported it at all! The World Cup should never have been there in the first place and I found it difficult to decide whether I should watch it or not.

From 1978 onwards I have watched 'most' matches and I attended several in US94 - Including being stood behind the goal where Saudi Arabia scored the goal of the tournament against Belgium:

But, I tend to lose interest in the latter parts of the tournament, as the pressure seems to often ruin the attacking flow of some teams. The final of US94 for example is one of the most boring games I have seen.

I fell asleep during Morocco vs France. I watched a little bit of Croatia vs Argentina on a bus. But I won't be watching the final. Possibly, because last week I watched a very boring Wimbledon vs Town followed by a disappointing England vs France game.

So, I state again (without starting a thread) that I am more interested(in watching) Barrow vs Swindon (which I think will put me off watching any more footie over the weekend) that watching two sides that I don't give a toss about, where the focus will be on a wankfest over Messi or MBappe.

Sorry you missed a classic, Nemo.

Swindon v Dons followed by England v France made for a really disappointing day.

But that was a magnificent final.

The technology available at the time (and the record books) say it did.

Great goal, but the funniest thing about that clip is the commentator obviously hasn't got a clue what Saudi player it is!

Bet Geoff Hurst is pissed off. No longer only player to score 3 goals in WC final.

Thing is Mbappe may have scored 3 goals, but all in all he had a pretty shite game.

Think this will be a South American win, maybe Argentina. Not sure on golden boot but maybe Jamal Musiala as an outsider if it's not a Neymar/Messi

One good, one bad!
