The DRS usually is, similar to the Arkells stand.
I actually meant the townend was quiet from where I was sat. DRS was also very quiet.

It’s funny how variable the atmosphere is, sometimes we generate some great noise, side stands included.

Thought it was better against Newport. Trouble is when it's nervy/stalemate on the pitch the fans get a bit subdued.
Banter with away fans helps, but they rarely number above 250 (last 2 games were an exception).

Yeah very poor away followings in league 2. Some very big clubs in league one at the moment which makes it even more painful being in the basement.

I'm guessing that when Stratton bank has a roof then the atmosphere between home and away fans just increase massively. Either way if they keep away fans where they are or make Stratton bank an away end they will be in close proximity

Thanks for clarifying.

i actually dont mind that chant  Grin one bloke shouts out 'what do you think of oxford' then every else shouts. just worth pointing out as the lyrics with everyone singing would seem a bit weird.

It’s been absolutely shit at home for years now. Like a library most of the time.
Ramps up when we score but then reverts back to being flat.
Not bad away from home.

Mckirdy’s rallying cry for the last few games of last season really seemed to boost the atmosphere.

Man City last season was great even though we were getting stuffed and reminded me of the great Cup atmospheres in the late 70's

Towards the end with Wellens too. The return of the Ginger Pele for that home game (Exeter?), the atmosphere even before the game was amazing. Give me that any day of the week….
