I suggest that Reed should be rested for a week or so
Yes. Notable improvement when Khan came on I thought

Good win and also thought that Khan looks very calm and exceptionally skillful.

He is surely a starter for Saturday

Skilful for sure.

At the same time, I also like the way intending tacklers bounce off him.

Steady win against bad opposition. Balance of play deserved a wider gap between the teams

Clayton impressed me again, real talent there. Generally agree that no stand outs, although gladwins distribution and huttons energy were notable

Not sure what to make of Darcy. Very good long shots (which seemed to be much of our attacking game plan, as their very thicc keeper couldn’t catch a cold) - but felt like the game passed him by a lot otherwise. Fair to say Lindsey didn’t agree post match

I thought Darcy had a good game. Forget the shots, just thought he got himself about the pitch and generally got involved.

Baudry nearly cost a goal, but thought he did well given lack of match time.

A very competent but not spectacular performance, conformably the better team and deserved the win. The lacking part was not too many clear cut opportunities but more than enough to win..

Newport were shit, and their keeper was chief turd. They/he can't be that bad normally. Maybe they put too much in v Orient. A point would have been unjust, but they nearly grabbed one at the death

People not seeing Darcy’s impact reminds me of when people used to praise Hunt to the rafters and I just didn’t get it.

I think their win against orient was the smashiest and grabbiest of smash and grabs. Tonight was much more reflective of there standard

Enjoyed that. Good performance overall but a couple of scares (Baudry early on and then the clearance at the end). Plenty of positives. Long shots from Darcy seemed like part of the game plan as we were doing it on a lot of occasions. Khan looked great when he came on. Gladwin was great, Clayton very assured. I think the team are starting to gel more and Hutton certainly offers something down that right side. Hopefully we can see some more of these young players on extended deals soon. Very good attendance too.

2nd half we looked great and should have been out of sight before Hutton's block on the line.

Darcy looks a real gem and Gladwin is dictating the midfield. Promising signs in what seems like a poor league, continue to grow and we can definitely reach top 3.

Still not sure why Gladders is taking corners, he's 6ft 2 FFS, get in the box.

Loving this team. From back to front.

Sol Brynn the fucking giant in the sticks, grabbing corners out the sky and punching dangerous freekicks.

Baudry- some class turns and long balls- one fucking massive hiccup in the first half.
Clayton- brilliant player in the making. Jack Stephens vibes.
Hutton- brilliant crossing all match and goal line clearance
Gladwin- effortless grace
Williams- a tricky player that can open up in an instance

Some very good performances and was actually quite a comfortable watch.

I rarely see a substitute have a bad cameo with this squad. That's massive.

Khan, shade and Ellis were brilliant when they came on.

Make no mistake 5 at the back Newport made it tough to play through and we needed a goal from a cross or long range effort to break through them. They correctly highlighted the dodge keeper and rained them in on him.

Should have scored more. Lovely 3 points.

(Whilst really happy with our right back- thought Newports was a player to look out for. Brilliant feet)

My view on Bauldry's suicide pass in the 1st half was that he simply didn't see the Newport player there.
Their playing kit of all grey needs to be questioned especially with a night fixtures.

That said, Town played some great fast moving football. However, Newport were only a few inches away from grabbing a point with their very different style of play.

Just need to get out of this bloody 4th division as soon as poss.

A really good game to watch, we played most of the good football but Newport often looked dangerous.

Our excellent subs are a big advance on last season, and hopefully will help us improve at the end of season to gain promotion.
