More likely Micheal Flynn to go there.
Thats exactly what I thought! Wouldn’t be surprised if there were discussions behind the scenes making it ‘a cost effective’ decision.

Wow Forest green are looking more of a basket case club than we are. Can't see them coming back from this, National League beckons for them.

TBF, they probably now have a better chance at staying up now Deeney isn't at the helm, an absolutely mindboggling appointment when you're looking down the relegation barrel. Agree that they do absolutely look the basket case with the whole saga though and will be glad to see them relegated

I'm not entirely sure how it works but I believe Flynn and the club agreed a settlement (X months rather than the 2.5 years remaining on his contract) for him to part. Would he have to forgo that if he gets the FGR job so soon?

Remember during the FGR away game at the start of the season when we were apparently looking to sign Deeney and the FGR comms were getting all giddy at the thought of them signing him. That was definitely one that DID get away, thankfully!

Reckon so. Isn’t it usual for jettisoned managers to have a period of gardening leave before taking up paid employment again.
It’s all rather convenient though, timing wise.

I believe so. Whatever the severance amount, it common practice to pay that monthly over a set period of time unless employment is secured in which case payments cease. I’d imagine that is written into the original contract. As are other penalties like disciplinary matters and so on.

Excellent. That's a small financial win for us if it happens then.
