Nice relaxing win yesterday to ease us nicely into the play offs. I'm going to Walsall which is now set up to be quite the party!

Think I just vomited watching those Chavvy Wovvers lot lift that Chavvy prick Barton up on their shoulders.

Fucking hell!
I'm sure that would have been a sickening sight.

However, in terms of judgement, I feel Barton's managerial abilities were somewhat underrated here earlier this season.

A lot of Rovers fans were calling for his head earlier this season. He's a vile man but job wise he has turned his fortunes around.

How different we have looked at home against FGR and Barrow.
Both teams not coming with a tight “two banks of four.” Looked more like away performances where we’ve been able to move the ball into areas and exploit the width much better.

Found out an interesting fact yesterday that I couldn’t believe.
Apparently we have the 3rd smallest pitch in league two !!! Evidently we want to increase the size.
Historically if memory serves we used to have one of the biggest.

Why does the full match replays on iFollow use the away commentary?

Isn't he the generic neutral commentator?

Not many posts on the Barra forum other than about 10 posts slating Banks.

1 - 1 a deserved equaliser

Swindon gave us a lesson on how to manage a game out, don’t think we got out of our half in added time.

Good game, but this one we could have won if they had played the first half like the second.
Not entirely sure they were watching the same game as me, I thought Barrow were slow and pedestrian and rarely even threatened and in no way even deserved even the 1 goal they got.

Well, both FGR and Barrow were definitely the away commentators. Extended highlights are the neutral commentator.

Didn't McMahon reduce the width of the pitch in the mid 90s because it gave teams too much space?

Well, it's never straightforward is it and it's been like that since I first started going.
Should have been a comfortable lead at half time then some ropey keeping followed by a quick response to put is in control our fate.

Won't feel as confident on next Saturday as I was yesterday, but that's the way of it.
A full week to rest up & prepare should be of great benefit & I'd expect McKirdy to be more on song than he was yesterday.

Love Harry taking a risk  with a shot but sometimes just pass it to a player in a better position.

If I remember, one of the first things that Hoddle did was to make the pitch bigger.

There is a fair bit of room to enlarge the actual overall area.
A bigger pitch is supposed to favour a passing game and some visiting sides would need a bigger bus to park.

You could be right, however, I thought it was Gorman for the PL campaign?

Did Di Canio also widen it - or have I imagined that?

Also, absolutely bizarre that all the pitches don’t have to be a set standard size (not sure how they’d enforce that other than getting the official to measure the pitch dimensions every game)
