We are used to managers talking utter bollocks but if Garner said this "- We weren't casual but just too slow at times" Then he is right up there with three draws are a win.

Look at the bigger picture would you have accepted 7 points out of 9 from the last three games of which two were away?

Completely agreed. Home form still a concern though. Not sure what it is as I don't think we play any differently at home compared to away?

It's hard to pinpoint the reason unless we don't give the opposition enough credit.

To be fair, a clear change of plan from Rochdale today to press us higher second half - worked a treat. I don't see why more teams don't do it. We can't really ever hit long so just suffocate us in our own defensive third.

I also think Carlise & Port Vale done their homework well.

Every away team so far has pressed us high- until we can adapt to deal with it home results won’t improve

Could be worth giving JML a go up top, play balls into channel and in behind when they press us high?

Yep, one long ball down the line by Critch instead of the short pass that was intercepted prevents their first.

How do we get Williams into the team as it dosen't make sense having that quality on the bench so maybe try him at left wing back as previously stated.

Could play a 4-2-3-1, Odimayo at RB with Payne Williams and Mckirdy behind Simpson/Mitchell-Lawson?

Thinking the same with Garner hinting, post-match, said he was going to use the squad. We need an outlet in the manner of Woolery, it comes back immediately if we go long.

I wonder if JML make anything that would help JML stay on his feet. Some stabilisers perhaps,
