Personally I would and always will avoid the Inn on the green at Horfield after this, football or no football.

Yeah remember that at the time, absolutely awful!

I have also drank in the city centre on previous visits there, but can be a right pain getting over to the ground.

Anyone wanting a safe pre-match drink before the game and are driving check out the Willy Wicket pub right next to  the roundabout on the ringroad before towards Emersons Green and only a few minutes off the M32 jct 1

Have you got one right yet?

If you likes yer craft beers there is a very good bottle shop along Gloucester Road, "Bottles and Books", about a 10 minute walk from the Memorial Stadium.

Last time I went they had several taps to choose from for a sit in (it isn't very big, mind you) as well as a load of fridges full of a very wide range of cans.

I’ve seen that the Wellington is mentioned on the football ground guide, not been there though so not sure what it’s like for away supporters

Find a pub that has real ales and not just that gassy shit and drink as much as you can, thems the rules.
Plenty of boozers on the main drag from the city centre to the ground.

Might well give the Gloucester Road Alehouse & Kitchen a go.

Looking like wet weather gear and singing in the rain.

Used to love going to Eastville.
A proper ground, wonderful welcome from the locals and that ticking gas canister.
An Experience for sure and never seen so many rockabilly’s in a short space of time.

My Great Aunt and Uncle uses to live in St Werburghs, used to remember going down there in the 70s and seeing games in action from the M32 above.
