While both diet and exercise are important to well being, I can’t stress enough how getting enough sleep is vital. I’m struggling with that bit - can’t seem to get an extended sleep, having seemingly numerous wake ups during the night. I then find it hard to get drop back off again.

A good starter programme is Pavel's Simple & Sinister. The aim is to get to 100 swings and 10 get-ups within 15 minutes. Don't worry too much about Pavel's goals for the programme (32kg for simple and 48kg for sinister). Suggest starting the programme with a 16kg and try to get up to 20 or 24kg ASAP. If you can master simple with those weights, you'll be fitter than 90% of people.

If that's too boring then I just mix it up with 3x8 of maybe 4 or 5 different movements like swings, presses, rows, squats and lunges. Throw in some burpees if you want to add intensity.
Cheers Sam i will take a look

I’ve allowed myself to get pretty out of shape. I’ve not gained huge weight, maybe a stone, but I look like a bag of blancmange with tits.

I used to find losing weight easy (I was very disciplined, it’s never easy as such) but at 43 it seems fucking tough to shift weight. Can’t decide whether it’s delusion (I think I’m doing pretty good) or just being middle aged (something I’m not entirely convinced is a thing that should impact me physically yet).

The exercises I used to do are hard as well, far harder than I remember, but I’m going to keep going until I’ve regained something approaching a body.

I've piled on shitloads since my knees fucked up

really couldn't shift it

but I am now. I have to log everything I eat. it's surprising how easy it is to underestimate intake.

11st 10 - 2 weeks back

Can’t fit into my suit. Have a wedding in a week and a half.
Been walking to work (and back) and even going for a walk on my break (at 1:15am)
Monday I walked Coate - Chiseldon - Ridgeway - Barbury Castle - Uffcot - a stupidly dangerous stint down the A361 (!!!) - Wroughton - Pipers Way - Coate.

Feel so much better for a bit of fresh air & some music.
167k steps /  75.2 miles last week
108k steps / 48.8 miles so far this week

Weathers gonna kill that I think.

Anyone know any good 30-40 min HIIT vids I can do in my living room with no equipment and a copycat 3 year old?

I give myself days off, a week off over the summer and got straight back on it.

It's a live/die situation which is motivating haha

And you even said you didn't enjoy the pre-match Maccy D's at Northampton which is a good sign mate Wink
